I’m a father of two girls — ages 7 and 10.

Like a lot of dads, life looks very different than it did ten years ago.

These days it’s early mornings, soccer games, school events, family trips, pool days, grocery runs, grilling on weekends, carrying too many bags into the house in one trip, and trying to slow down long enough to actually enjoy the little moments while they’re still little.

And somewhere along the way, I realized something:

The older you get, the less you care about impressing people…
and the more you care about the life you’re building.

That shift became the inspiration behind Big Dad Hats.

I’ve always loved hats.

Not as fashion statements.
Not as collectibles.

Just as part of everyday life.

A good hat becomes personal.
Broken in.
Familiar.
Reliable.

Over the years I bought hundreds of hats searching for something simple:
clean design, comfortable fit, quality feel, and something subtle enough to wear every day.

But everything started to feel either overly branded, too loud, too trendy, or mass-produced without personality.

I kept coming back to the same thought:

Why doesn’t someone make a premium dad hat brand that actually represents modern dad life in a clean and understated way?

Not giant logos screaming for attention.

That idea became Big Dad Hats.
